I have to confess that this post is a little overdue. We didn’t really know what to expect when we went to Ilfracombe in Devon for a couple of days earlier in the summer, but turns out it’s a really lush little seaside town. We hadn’t planned anything but basically stumbled across stuff we liked for a weekend. We rocked up on the Saturday night and set up camp in a fog covered field (red wine kept me warm) where we could see absolutely nothing around us. In the morning, the fog cleared and we found our camp site had a little farm shop where a very nice girl cooked us a lovely breakfast. After that, we drove down the coast to Ilfracombe, which is full of Victorian seaside charm, beaches, bunting, pretty little coloured houses and a crazy pregnant lady statue by Damien Hirst (if you’ve been, you’ll know what I mean). Plus, ice cream!
As always, I love reading your comments and they’re always appreciated! 🙂
